Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

I have nothing to lose at this point as my days are numbered like yours. Might as well provide some insight to what is proposed.

Most benefits to end or be reduced drastically come November. The 401K matching to end. You knew this was coming. Prepare to start paying full price for your fake degree as well. No more family reimbursement so I hope no one is in the middle of their program. They know most are and will pony up every last dime to finish it at this point so I probably should not have even brought that up. Medical is going to double for most as they will not be picking up crap this year and moving forward. Unpaid days off are coming and furloughs will start soon. Some holidays will be vanishing. Mandatory weekends will go into effect come the first of the year if they are even around at that point. The 45 day delay is anticipated to happen soon. Good luck telling the students that their aid will be delayed 90 to 120 days. These are all the exact steps ITT and Corinthian took before they started flopping around like a c---roach after the DOE doused them with some Raid. There are no projections past February next year so most of us are assuming the worst. Good luck to all of you. You have been warned.

Riiiiight. This is why they're giving everyone more sick time. Because they're reducing benefits. Yeah. That makes sense.

Mandatory weekends and much more expensive health insurance is standard in a situation such as the Phoenix. Luckily, since mass layoffs follow, fewer will be subjected to it. Companies in this predicament want to squeeze every last drop of blood from its remaining people and will provide the bare minimum for them in doing so. By law, all the Phoenix is REQUIRED to provided its employees is minimum wage and health insurance (not cheap health insurance.). It amazes me how these people still hold on to assinine ideas that the damage is going to be minimal. The sh-- happening at the Phoenix has been going on for over 6 years and it will only get worse. Have some self respect and get out.

so much horse sh-- I don't know where to begin. People, don't believe this nonsense. Furlough days off but mandatory weekends? Medical double? Don't let this idiocy raise your blood pressure. Amazing the dregs this site attracts
