Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

San Juan will be great now that they are finally rid of leftover Burlington management trash!

It's got to be a lot better place to work now although we still have a few managers and foremen that need to go!

What makes you think the new prez will be any better? The success of the COST project?

Canada could take a lesson in regards to a Burling-Dumb manager purge.... Full of old school "Oh god gas will be good again" Canadian Hunter leftovers and old school Gas farts that CPC ended up with that still think they know what to do. In Canada it started with putting the Burlington dude (initials BS) in charge to start and his cronies in completions, operations etc. They only looked semi good when commoditiies were high and were never any good when things got tough (ironically when managers need to be their best) Sadly they have reshaped the Canadian BU to look like their glory day instead of being progressive. Sad. MH will soon sort that out I imagine. Be interesting to see what is left of the Burlington crew in 6- 8 months. Although it really appears that COP is setting up to exit Canada. MH's job is to make it look pretty for someone else to have in parts and pieces......
