I've found most Kmart employees fall into one of three groups. Which group are you? I'm a 1.

People who have been there so long they can't easily find another job equivalent to what they have now. Most of these people are older and will stay until they are fired.

People who are total morons and do not really want to work. They are happy to work 8 hours a week and collect welfare. Most of these people will not leave until they are fired. Sadly, they make up the majority of the Kmart work force.

People who are really great workers and are very competent. They are super stars and stand out. They are worked to death and quickly learn there is very little room for them to advance. These people are very intelligent and normally escape quickly.
what is rude is saying you hope Kmart pays the price for being open on Thanksgiving....I want Kmart to stick around and still be in business as long as possible........I would like to keep my job and I am not going to say I hope they pay the price for being open ......again go get another job if you are unhappy .....a lot of companies don't give raises anymore either...it is not a requirement of working somewhere that you get a raise every year....those days are over...this is a new economy and new job market......is it really reasonable to expect a raise when the company is not doing well?
I like it here, I like the team, I like the customers. I am humble and materially I have everything I need. Corporate is not good, our market position is not good and things are getting worse but I still like coming to work. I know that many do not feel this way but this is my situation.
