Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

S--- it up, WFH whiners!

Wow. All the whining about actually having to get ready for work, drive to work and actual work in an office!

You all need to knock it off and do what I (and the vast majority of employees) do: get out of bed, get out of your jammies and go to work!

Amazing how many people feel that they're entitled to work from home. Am glad Cote made this policy change. Should have happened a LONG time ago.

I'm the OP and manage a large group of production engineers. Not quite the day laborer that you'd wish I was.

BZZZZZ. Alarm clock going off now! Wake up, get dressed, and it's time to drive your sorry @ZZ to work!! No more fuzzy slippers, sipping coffee and watching the sun rise in your patio anymore!

Those days are over, moochers!!!

Pretty simple, when you want to sell a house you stage it with nice furniture. We are the furniture, can't have potential buyers show up and there are very few people physically at work! Think about it!!! We will all be better off working for another company anyways. ALT has no vision to move us into the future. Can't wait for Timmy and Davey boy to go away. A few entitled people ruined it for all. WFH is probably ok, but everyone needs to come to work on a regular basis, even if it's once a week. The OP (aka fools from da shop) don't even know how to turn on a PC.

OP, maybe if you ask nicely one of your smarter co- workers can explain the whole issue to you. Clearly, you are not really getting it. That's okay - Honeywell has positions that you don't need to be smart to qualify. Especially if you are an a-- kisser. Lately they seem to prefer dumb employees anyway.

It's not about the employees, who due to the continued trend of global outsourcing and offshoring, are essentially required to provide around the clock support to meet the needs of the the business, feeling entitled. To the contrary- its about this CORPORATION feeling continually entitled to infringe on EMPLOYEES, requiring support of multiple time zones ("6 am meetings with India- no problem! Call with Asia at 8 pm while trying to get the kids to bed- sure thing!") and willing to give ZERO in return for that sacrifice.

People who work from home do so day and night in a job you would quit if you had to work like hours so why don't you STFU. I hope you have to work a intense job so you can spend 24/7 at the job site and then someone can shame you for "whining." What comes around goes around. Don't be so quick to condemn others.

@OP. You are most definitely an uneducated laborer and I'm sorry for you. Do you not understand that this company has created a global atmosphere that requires support ofttimes late at night into early morning? My India team is suffering greatly since I can no longer meet with them at ten at night; I can no longer run testing for them at 2 am- I do have a 3-4 hour commute, so it is highly unlikely that I will be spending any more time doing work once I get home. That time prior was spent working.

To suddenly take the WFH program away was idiocy and if you are around long enough you will realize it's the beginning of the end. There is a reason none of us yet see- a reason Dave Cote would shoot himself in the foot. The same reason they are further dismantling an already crippled work force with more RIFs and furloughs.

Or maybe Mr Cote has the same uneducated mentality as a laborer?

Hey, fvck you both and the horses you both rode in on. Clearly you two are laborers, with roles requiring you to drive to the site every day. Intellectuals are able to work from home, except for Honeyhell. So both of you can eat a giant bowl of d*cks.
