Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

Would you report this person?

so I am line last night and the girl in front of me was checking out....the person checking her out finalized the sale and then I heard her say...oh, did you remember that? The checkout person looked back, picked up a $12 piece of cheese (it was a round from a local farm in chester springs, that's how I know the price, it's expensive...started to ring it up...looked around (duh, camera right above all registers) and then just threw it in her bag..she smiled and said thanks and walked away. Are they allowed to do that? No wonder this company is going down the tubes...really...she wasn't protesting and it would have taken 30 additional seconds to ring her up..the had maybe 12-15 things, so it's not like it was a $400 grocery bill that would be absorbed by the $12 hit. Also in this store, I saw some ground chicken breast pre-packaged by Nature's Ranch expired 10.25.16...anyone one with two eyes could see it was "off color". I counted out of date. I went and told someone in meat....15 minutes later I went back and it was still out there. Lastly, saw ricotta packed out in the store from Brooklyn, my favorite. The 1st four containers in front expired 11/10, the 2 behind those, 11/02 and the 1 behind that one 10/31. The beautiful thing about whole foods is they never rotate, so you don't have to dig back for better dates...almost every store I go into and in almost every department, there is some product with a longer date in front of a shorter date product. You might say it's basic retail 101, but it's either pure laziness on the part of the team members or they short cut because they are overworked....not sure. Don't get me wrong, I find out of date product everywhere, but it's much more prevalent at natural foods stores because they don't add netmyacin to everything to extend the shelf life....but Jesus, it is always horrible at whole foods.

Addingthe "samples" Tm's give away everyday, all day + "self served samples" by Guests eating from bulk, all the food bars in the store, candy and cookies islands+ shoplifters (some are greedy and take buggies full of meat, wine and such) these scum bags hit stores all day every day in front of TM that don't care = millions of dollars that WFM is losing every year maybe every month. That's one of the main reasons the company is going down... PS and without counting what the so call loyal TM's take home without paying.

Take your wages in product. We are over worked, underpaid, and expected to perform miracles.

Arrogance and failure to adjust the business model before the competition was fully embedded is what brought the company to its knees. Mackey, Robb, and the rest of the board have long played out their time here. Your TMs don't respect you and your lack of vision!

so you're basically advocating theft because your store gives away free stuff all the time? makes sense, it's lazy f*cks like you who brought this company to it's knees, too good to follow any type of protocol, just do whatever because you were "empowered", hey, it's not coming out of your paycheck.

Yes, call the Grocery Police. That evil cashier needs to be stopped before someone else is hurt! Ha, the WF I work at gives away so much free stuff, it is ridiculous.

Don't forget how prepared foods sells expired cut fruit as fresh on their salad bar.

Yes that is ridiculous. That cashier should have charged her or at least slapped an, 'its on us' sticker on that cheese so the store could have got credit. If I as behind that customer I would have asked the cashier what can I get for free.
