If you already have approval for the day off requested in workday you should consult your stl.
Call out and bring a doctor's note to TMS. They can't hold you accountable.
Wow...your leadership is an A hole. It's a doctor's appointment! You even offered to come in to set up then come back! They could make an exception, they just don't want to. Just call out then but make sure you don't have any attendance issues. And don't do any extra favors for them.
They have rules that once worked when every guy in town considered them a virgin.
