1neb, all ex-sun product lines, especially storage.
in 3 weeks, hurd has lost a net of 171 employees, mostly from acquired orgs and HW. the gross losses are somewhere in the 300s or 400s because these are covered up by the matketing ppl they keep hiring.
this is all lay offs, not quittings, because very few ppl quit and if they do they are replaced in a week

I can confirm that ANOTHER 20 sales reps were laid off today in North America sales. Clearly the layoffs are being staggered
Never trust that kind of message. It's a quarter by quarter world. Not your manager or your managers manager is going to know the environment in a year. They can try and guess but in today's business climate. Every tech company is at the mercy of the market demand and the board of directors.
