Thread regarding AIG (American Intl Group Inc.) layoffs

Low Morale

I work at AIG and I can personally tell you that morale is very low.

I used to feel a sense of pride working here, but it's now about try to keep the job as long as I can, get a pay check and wait for the next the opportunity to bust out of here.

I dislike the new management team. They literally came in this spring and told everybody it's no longer about you and your opinion means nothing to us.

It's shut up, your views don't matter, you're just a number to us. I count my blessing I'm still here because one thing they do well are compensation and benefits.

AIG Management doesn't care about morale. In fact the CEO last year indicated to employees not to expect working here permanently??? How strange!

Got laid off 2 1/2 years ago and there is life after that blood s---ing company. They gave us three weeks notice and I couldn't wait to get out of there. Horrible morale, uncaring management, no fun allowed, no raises in forever. I would cry every Sunday just knowing I had to go back. I knew I would get laid off eventually and I was holding on to get my severance package. I would not give them the satisfaction of quitting. If I have to be someplace day after day, year after year I want to at least enjoy some of it. You are nothing to them, just a number in the grand scheme of it all. Could not have worked for a worse company.
