@4xip I totally agree, so many good staff have been bullied out the door of Chevron. ABU is the worst place for that. I left after finding a well paid job with a smaller company and absolutely no regrets. Best thing is I can think for myself in the new role, problem solve, create new practices and make positive change better than I could have at Chevron. I travel more, get more time off and have less supervision that at CVX which suits me as I am left freely to work and learn/ grow.

5ovk here: Sittimg on the crapper after a big Mexican dinner. Man, it smells almost as bad in here as your childish comments do on this site. You don't like it at Chevron? Hit the road jack. Somehow we'll make it without you. Listen for the flush!!

5ovk is the perfect profile of the Chevron lifer. They do what they are told, kiss up to their managers, and follow all the PC rules. They are not honest, they cover up mistakes and blame others. This leads to catastrophic mistakes and expensive decisions.

Wrong, 5ovk. I left on my own for the reasons I expressed. In doing so, I also distanced myself from far too many people like you, self centered, assuming and unprofessional.

Totally agree 4xip, seen plenty of people leave on their own accord and others which were let go in previous waves and in both cases they are far happier then us who have survived until now and put up with the sh-- we do.

5ovk - very ignorant and pessimistic of you. Enjoy the rest of your miserable career at CVX, however much longer it may be. I'm still here also, but you seem like the type of desperate leech I see everyday that would bend down on your knees to anyone above you to keep your job.

4uuw: let's be honest here. You left because CVX laid you off. Most likely you are still looking for a job. Things might pick up after Christmas. Until then, use the unemployment.

4xip - you have a clear understanding. Make hay while the sun shines. CVX has been left with legions of cover thy a-- managers and circles of back stabbing sycophants. The oil glut may last 15 years.

-4xip, I left precisely for that reason. I had enough abuse at Chevron putting up with the BS politics and doing most of the work and not getting the recognition I deserved.

Good folks don't have to put up with the Chevron BS. They can find work elsewhere. It's comical to hear folks say "you best be glad you have a job (aka - having a crappy job is more important than happiness)". I look at it another way. Companies best be glad they have good folks. There will be no good folks left at Chevron because they treat the good workers like garbage.

If that's the case, less to layoff. And no severance to pay. Sweet!
