I miss Da Beat. What's the latest?!

Now that I am gone from Cisco I find myself missing the CISCO BEAT sessions. Really.

They were always a little painful to watch but the last handful were both cringe-worthy and telling at the same time. The topics were getting less and less useful and the tone, more and more defensive and "you just don't get it", like.

What have the last couple been like?

It's blatantly obvious that Cisco only knows how to make/sell HW. A perfect example of the "emperor has no clothes". Has there ever been a solid head of HR?

Fran.....not an 'employee advocacy' bone in that woman's body. Maybe that is typical HR, I don't know. I swear if I look close enough when she is on stage I see strings attached to all of her limbs. She is Chuck's puppet and I have yet to see her do or say anything that speaks to employee concerns or needs.

She has a course and she has never course-corrected, no matter the input required. She is a robot.

Another shocker. Only real note is that Chuck is off to see Trump Wednesday to 'talk about' H1B visas with ten other tech cronies. I wonder whose jet they'll take? A question asked in the chats by one NY liberal about whether he should meet him at all. Chuck opened with a justification. Must be some pressure out there to no-platform the president elect or what?
