Will our new status as #3, what if #4, affect the dividend ??

may be too late to ride new tech, iot and fancy platforms to redemption , maybe should return to their core business. oh, forgot, they screwed that up too. but hey, as long as the dividends keep a comin', shareholders are good and the elites get their bonus , everything's good. why am i even coming in every day, oh yeah, my manager still has a vision of utopia. what a marooon.

actually college dweebs were requested from the likes of Shell, BP, etc but it fit well to EXCOM that they could not promote through the ranks to stardom - only a super-elite educated red jacket type can be high up in HAL. Of course what those elite's could not figure is how come the costs are going up? well college peeps earn the same as a 4yr hand, so more of them = higher per person pay = less bottom line and you get the added bonus of more safety and quality problems because it turns out when things do go wrong they dont know what to do next...(who would have guessed that) so they just down tools and go cry in the corner. HAL easily to blame for their own demise over the last 20 years plus no BHI deal and no new worthwhile technology for decades. They are now so far behind i reckon 15yrs and they are gone

Halliburton used to be #1, easily. We had the best people ( mostly ) nd everyone knew their jobs and how to do them. Then we got the processes because they were hiring college dweebs that knew nothing and they had to manage in that scenario. Slowly the employees got to 'know nothing' and were to check the process manual. More jobs went down the toilet. "the service job was over but not finished'. Got rid of mostly anyone over 40 who knew the business. Processes were then on the web, so while the well was going to hell, the ooperator was on the computer. Soon he really was an 'ooperator' because everything he did turned to 'Oops, I messed up. Before long Halliburton will be luck to be #5 or #6 - if the stats go that low. Forget the one cent per share. Share holders will be paying money back in to keep oil in the motors. Enjoy

Dividend payment is dependent only on financial performance, not the market 'ranking' of the company. If HAL earns money they can pay a dividend, if they continue to lose money then a dividend is not sustainable.

You will always smell like #2. Better than #3. Just guessing here.
