My warn act misinformation plan worked great. You are correct. However, only someone from hr would be familiar with warn act and know that my misinformation was just that. Either that or you have looked on Wikipedia. And if you are from hr, do you have any insight other than the many hallway rumors.

WARN act doesnt work like that. You're dumb. All rifs follow the warn act perfectly.
Why two cuts? Simply a way around the warn act. Slight cut nov and remaining cut in dec. Reduces the numbers below the warn act requirements. With a 7 day vacation requirement in dec, cost for two cuts is cheaper than one big cut that triggers warn act. Of course I have no idea what I'm talking about but might as well add to the other many unfounded rumors.
Cuts are Thursday, not Wednesday. Heard this over a beer last week.
That is good news. Atleast Thanksgiving isnt ruined. Hopefully nothing happens in December either.
Same here. Nothing yet, at least not in Design engineering departments. I am sure it will happen sooner or later though.
Still seeing nothing today.
Any new news about Shakopee layoffs? I am at shakopee and did not see any banker boxes going around.
Shakopee cuts coming in 2 phases due to sheer size. Tomorrow 11/16 and 12/7. Design Engineering's time is up.
Penang and Seremban (Seagate Systems) plant still on track to be fully closed by June 2017.
look @ the numbers.
revenue is in decline, the only thing that will keep stock up is to keep squeezing margins
plants (already operating WAY under capacity) are bound to close. design centers will close.
this isn't going to affect one sight, or worker vs engineer vs management. it will be a bit of everyone
Various rumors of 30% cut at shakopee facility to occur week of December 5.
Look at where the products are and aren't being developed out to 2020. It should be obvious.
You're kidding.....right?
