Do you think we'll have layoffs in San Francisco.

At the end of March, Colorado experienced layoffs for Schwab employees. I suspect there were other areas besides SF and Colorado?

Pre-notifications went initiated on February 15. The clock is ticking. 3 months minimum after pre-notification. Most will be here through August is the word I hear.

If you are a Schwab employee based in San Francisco, then you are either brain dead or living under some rock. Of course we are having layoffs in 2017. 2017 is final year for execution of the new geo-strategy plan. The Fremont Street office will be vacated, and all remaining staff moved to the one and only Main Street office, for those that are still around. Layoff pre-notifications should occur some time in February, as the lists are already finalized. Pre-notified employees will have about 90 days, before final notifications are performed. However, the final notifications probably won't extend through October / November like they did in 2016 and 2015. Some, very few, may be given the chance to re-locate to another location such as Denver or Austin. Most are just given the bye-bye.

Good luck.
