Is this a joke someone is trying to pull? How come now we are talking about layoffs in Waltham.

B/E airspace lay people off today 9/12/17
RTN IIS is pursuing VLO for E07'and up. I was laid off last year due to plant closing but stay in contact with still employed colleagues. Good to see some cuts at the higher levels now. They are top-heavy across the organization!
I worked for them 28 years ... Miss it but moved on...
Raytheon IIS just announced a lay-off of 125 level 7 and above across the enterprise. June 9, to volunteer and if we don't get starting pulling out long term folks and announce who is left June 30 if enough don't jump.
I never liked musical chairs as a kid and even less as an adult.
This "turd" is telling the truth. SAS asked for voluntary layoffs from E7 and below Thursday May 4, 2017.
We had heard this would happen in April but when nothing was said, we assumed it was either delayed or discarded.
I can say with 100% certainty that phone calls were made to identified people and they were told to check with hr if they were interested in packages available to those willing to voluntarily take a layoff.
New info raytheon announced today a voluntary layoff to levels 7 through 9 only. Lower levels tba
You can always tell if they are having a Layoff. They ask if you would like to be let go
Looks like this same turd is posting "rumors" of layoffs on all the major defense contractor forums on thelayoff.com. I became suspicious because each of the major contractor forums I visited included a very similar post mentioning layoffs at the corporate HQ city... even though most people who work for Raytheon do not work at the Mothership in Waltham.
