SLB has done the same; bringing in new hires while putting experienced people on furlough or terminating them.
Here's an analyst take recently published in an article. Companies are sacrificing experience for a more economic workforce but will suffer when the market returns and will desperately try to hire more experienced personnel but will be in a dilemma as many of those experienced personnel have left the industry with no desire to return. WFT like the rest of the oil industry will just throw more & more money at experienced personnel to return.
I hope I summarized the article quite completely. My take is if personnel have experience they can drive the future pay scales to meet their expectations and not that of poorly led corporations. Hold out for more!
The boys are still s---ling? But the supply is drying up!
Are they going to hire more from the Eberhard mob. I heard there is still one more of Eddies son's that needs to be helped out, since the other two idiots couldn't survive on their own. Daddy to the rescue once again.

People will leave WTFas soon as they can jump ship because of treatment like this

In Lloydminster Canada, management all took Furlough days while cutting all employees wages 10%. We are all on manadatory overtime and hiring like crazy. Management furloughs come to an end next month, but employees do not get wages back. One Weatherford indeed, two managers to every employee but let's screw over the people making company money.
S--- it up you Weasel Face Turd!
