if CD&R helps Avaya this is a massive boost for them. don't you think?
Obviously written by someone whose first language is not English.
The wolf finally takes off the sheep's clothing and exposes himself! Interesting to see a competitor threatened so much by the future state of Avaya that he trolls anonymous message boards! I thought you guys didn't care? Obviously not! Keep checking in, you'll get yours soon enough.
Sad losers hoping for some company to come in at the last minute to save Avaya. LMAO. It's just silly to think that anything like that will happen. Welcome to 2017 another year of decline.
some sh-- talk on this! if you know you would be under NDA!
Avaya rescue bid to come from oracle
Indeed. Nor does the JT interview confirm or deny anything about the sale. Comprehension fail and bullshyte post.
Oops. Someone forgot to do their homework before posting FUD. Avaya's revenue per employee is $380k, which is higher than their competitors. Also, gross margin (62%) and recurring revenue are at an all time high and increasing, followed by an NPS of 58, almost 20 points higher than Microsoft, Cisco, or Genesys. Get the facts straight before trying to ruin people's day. Profitability, not top line revenue, is what is matters.
The article written by JT two days ago confirms there is no sale of the CC, however, there is a small correction to it: Avaya does not generate enough cash to pay off their debt. The only option left for the company to avoid bankruptcy is to have a massive layoffs in order to have enough cash to pay the debt! Avaya has already started the planning process for the layoffs, employees will start getting notices in January. 11K employees for less than 4B revenue/year is a way over kill, plus ridiculous high salaries for a management that have miserably failed to manage this company will have to change.
Some people might think bankruptcy is a blessing, but not true specially if the company wants to continue to be innovative, manage their operation without the court interference, having line of credit to pay off their suppliers, offer proper technical support, and continue to have massive events.
A positive outcome for the survival of Avaya technology is that it gets acquired by a company like Oracle etc. that is looking to add UC to their product and services
It only matters if they need the capital to purchase Avaya. Unfortunately, they have decided to pass on Avaya for now so this headline is irrelevant. The rationale for waiting is that they can get a better deal when Avaya files for BKCY next month. Think about it... why would anyone buy Avaya now, when they can wait for the BK fire sale and get it for much less. I'm afraid the game is over folks. No $4B CC deal. No deal period. MAYBE the networking business will be sold, but that is also highly speculative for the same reason. Bottom line: Avaya is doomed. There will be massive layoffs as they prepare to file. After that, it will be several months before the court hears the plan and then the creditors must approve it. The company will be decimated and only the absolute minimum of staff will be retained. Meanwhile, the business will continue to decline because no customer is going to take a chance on a company that may not exist in the future. For those optimists who keep saying that the technology will live on, bla, bla bla... that's just stupid. Customers don't buy technology, they buy the stability and reliability of the company behind it. Without a company, the technology is essentially worthless. Happy New Year everyone. KK screws it up again, and again, and again, and again.....

How does this help Avaya?
