Interactive Intelligence is no more. Maybe I am drinking a little too much today. I am now surrounded by mostly naive millennials, "Senior Software Engineers" who cannot code, and "Business People" who provide no value. I cannot believe some of the Bozos who are in charge around here now. Most of the good leaders already left this place and now complete a-- kissers are in charge. Genesys is planning to crush what is left of this grape. My Manager has told me what is really going on (one of the only good people left), but many don't have a f---ing clue. I cannot believe I am seriously looking at jobs from Sallie Mae, Liberty Mutual, and One America as alternatives to this place. I have to get out. RIP ININ you were the best!

I never realized how great this company was until it was over. It is sad and depressing to see it all fall apart. The fact that no one even comments on this board anymore tells me the people who used to care have left this place and are doing something new and exciting in a more healthful environment.
More layoffs are queued up and ready to go. They will be coming soon, my Manager told me.
Just the few layoffs i heard about a week ago, butour ex-CMO will be leaving at the end of this month, at least on his own accord.
Anymore layoffs?
@L7IE4Df-eiru Sorry to hear that Mate! Best of luck finding something new. You will be better off in the long run. I am nervous as hell where and when the Ax is going to drop next. It is becoming too hard to focus on my work.
I was one of the casualties last week of the ININ / Genesys lay off. Dis-heartening after only 17 months on the job. Back to the drawing board! Too bad - I truly loved what I was doing and had great rapport with my customers and colleagues. C'Est la Vie.
Whoever predicted January layoffs was correct. Cuts are happening this week in Indianapolis. A number of people already let go.
@InTheKNow Please tell us more! What is going on?
Layoffs are happening at Genesys as we speak, not just ININ folks. Equal opportunity screwing.
The purchase of Interactive Intelligence by Genesys was a pure market share play! Do some research. It makes me laugh to hear they are investing in us. Genesys way overpaid for ININ. The most optimistic long run scenarios would have put the purchase price at $20. Genesys paid 50 times the value it should have paid. This means cuts!! No way around it. The MBA hotshots are coming for us this year.

I haven't heard anything about what genesys is planning but I can't imagine they would have bought us when we weren't their main competition just to get rid of us, at least I hope not. I thought Don was going to hold on to this one and not sell it like his previous, but I guess old habits die hard.
I know I heard marketing will be the first to be merged with the last in some operations in 2018 but I'm not sure what that means for jobs.
