Why aren't your store managers escalating that the stores are out of top selling items? Are you reporting it to your management team? I'm sure HQ doesn't want to be running out of top selling items - they still have jobs to do - which is keeping your stores stocked with inventory.
I'd like them to actually send us product people want for starters. Tired of stuff being back ordered or discontinued and still being on the website or being a direct ship item from the manufacturer. I get customers all the time coming in looking for a product that is direct drop ship. I wish Cabelas could do a better job of letting people know that it is a drop shipment but they obscure it on the website. Customers don't bother to click on the link that shows it is a drop shipment so they come into the store wasting their time asking for the item. The company sells a lot of crap to its customers too. It is almost comical what people buy but that is what they want. However, we run out of the good deals or stuff we sell consistently all the time. I can not understand how they think people will come to the store only to find out their was a few items available for a door buster and be pleased about that. It does not sit well with customers when we are out of product. You know what a joke it is to come in to my shift and see how we did not get replenished with high selling items? With the new owners taking control, I wonder how much more delays and out-of-stock situations will arise. This place is a joke.
Look back and remember the good ole days when customer was king and working at cabela's was a great thing with pride in your part of the company team. That classic honest hardworking pride in America culture is now and Sh17 is about to hit the skids for anyone in Sidney and employed by Cabelas. Bass pro may be private but Johnny Morris is known as a fruitcake and very kneejerk to moods so no one and no job is safe. Sorry but the good ole days are gone for everyone I fear.
Peace and assurance are in short supply in this little slice of hell at the moment!!!
It's a little hard to have peace this time of year when hours are hard to come by.
