Here they come again! ~20 from CIC R&D. I am getting tired of this sh--. Even if you are not one of the people getting whacked it makes it very hard to see this place as somewhere you want to stay long term. It is clear all the jobs are leaving. We are now down to 2 buildings and morale is low. Anyone know what is happening in Services? These poor souls were always treated like cattle during the DB era.

Cuts again!
Severance was a joke. I was told I'd get 8 weeks but the deposit was only 5 weeks worth of pay.
There were 26 let go in this round. Interesting that they were mostly people making higher salaries. I've heard a pretty convincing rumor that some of those positions will be backfilled with younger, cheaper talent.
I was at the upper end of my position's salary range, so I knew I would be on the chopping block. I already had 2 interviews the day before they told me. Very glad I started early. I'm going to take a couple days off then start on a new, better job next week.
If you were cut, keep looking. There are good positions out there! If you weren't, maybe you should start looking. You don't want to be fighting for jobs against your (former) co-workers when the next round comes.
You guys need to realize how glassdoor works - they make 90% of their money by charging companies a fee to manage official profiles which gives them access to stats and ability to influence what's posted - every single post is moderated, if it's not 'well articulated' based on GD standards, it will be adjusted. "too long' posts will be shortened. That's why most of them read pretty much the same, dry, generic, brief.
Realistically, this board gives you much better insight into what's going on at any given company. Keep in mind that most of folks who post here have negative views, so take what's here with a grain of salt.
What you need to consider is: the "sale pitch" was "merger" when in fact this is (was) an acquisition. The only thing to retain are core parts of the infrastructure to remain BAU with the current customer base. Move everything else out and all new sales will probably be channeled through Genesys. The API's, PureCloud, Patents and Customer base were the only reasons for the sale.
I was fortunate to leave shorty after the announcement, but for the rest; i wish you the best and much luck through this process. I can only imagine how difficult this time is for you...
Wow! I see what you mean. See easy to tell which ones are fake. 5 star Review that says:
Merger (5 Stars)
Pros
Genesys was great at communicating what was happening and what was up next. And they did it directly to all employees rather than trickle down through the mgmt structure
Total HR doctoring in play here. I bet Genesys hires a offshore PR firm that manages spin control with fake accounts.
I've noticed as well as a couple of other employees that glass door or genesys is filtering bad reviews, and adding either themselves good reviews or only letting those though. Major damage control, try posting a glassdoor.com review and see what happens.
Whomever called this round of cuts was correct again. Maybe you just need to predict they are once a month now going forward. No one seems to give a f--- anymore.
I think the package is crap. Some people aren't being provided with any notice - effective immediately. Anyone have concrete numbers on the Indy losses? Hearing many people say their last day is March 1 and the parking lot is looking a bit emptier.
the must cap it at 4 or more years then, pretty pathetic severance.
The way cuts are being done is probably the worst way imaginable. If cuts have to be done they should all be done at one time and not by using a piecemeal approach that only further destroys morale. Everyone is waiting for their turn right now and it's not conducive to a healthy work environment.
I've heard that the severance package is four weeks plus one week for each year of service (up to four additional weeks) for a total of eight weeks for those working at Interactive for four or more years.
severance packages are not too good, seems to be the same package regardless of how long you have been at the company. couple months pay thats it. Anyone else confirm?
I was cut as well, genesys swinging the axe. Place has gone quite downhill, its a shame. A lot of good people left on their own accord then more good people getting removed due to upper management not having experience at the company and knowing what people do. My advice would be to take a job if you find one equal or better to what you have. I imagine over time the Indianapolis presence will be just the one building, already down to two.
