This is BK's way of saying managers will get more Powepoint training. That, and backstabbing that would put Housewives of OC to shame ! Intel managers have no skills beyond that. I took VSP and I'm now at another big Silicon Valley name: no obsessing over your powepoint, no backstabbing, and colleagues that actually help. Why would anyone waste time on more training?
The arrogance and narrow thinking of the x86 monopoly management will be fully exposed by end of 2017. You haven't even seen the real crisis yet, but those who are insightful know what it coming 😉😂
This is so typical of problems w/ Intel - no accountability or insight in the top ranks. Blame it on everyone else...Reminds when PSO wanted "more innovation" - the commandment passed down from level to level until FLMs told their staffs "you need to be more innovative".,,same way layoffs handled - to avoid making actual decisions invent performance criteria, randomize, pass the buck down...

@ipq - He was right about the manager training program, however I'm still not convinced there will be no layoffs this year. Notice the Oregonian post mentions 15000 layoffs instead of 12000 as previously advertised. Yes, this was also slipped in by CFO Bob Swan in the earnings webcast. At first I thought he might have misspoken, since he's relatively new, however the financial filings and Oregonian confirm it.
So, where are all these 3000 additional cuts coming from? Simple. IR + SSL4/SSL5 from this latest Focal. They will probably just do it in a hush-hush way as they tried to do back in 2015. And the manager training will probably be in preparation for a bigger cut (aka ACT2) coming next year in 2018.
So the poster who has a source in HR that said there will be no layoffs was correct according to the article.
It's very simple. These useless managers are in their positions just to maintain their job draining money from the company. They have no solutions for the company except when it comes to cost reduction will automatically go to the employee layoff well.
If BK had some balls, he would use the management training to lay off a bunch of useless backstabbing managers. However the said training is probably going to be more brainwashing, indoctrination and preparation for the next round of layoffs. If anything, he might fire the few remaining managers who still have a conscience and stand up for their good employees.
BK is such a weak cowardly POS. I'm so glad I took a great VSP package and left that $hithole.
