If all but 1 rated employees are gone it's not layoffs, it's a sale or merger. No one would be safe but thanks for trying! 2/10, do not believe this attempt at a rumour.

For those that survive in the business it is the easiest pay cheque you will ever make so, like i said - go sniff the roses
Supposedly only 10 % of the employees are rated 1, so you are saying they will lay off 90% of the employees? Yeah right!!!
Company is in the process to significantly downsize. There will be the 2017 $5-8 B in asset sales. Sales will consist of low-value business units in Lower 48 & Canada. Basically looking at an Eagle Ford & Bakken oil company remaining in Lower 48 and complete withdrawal from Canada. Essentially all the employees associated with the underperforming business units will included in the individual business unit sales. By year-end 2017, the Company will report a head count of less than 10,000 from the current 13,300. It has to be done.
If you got a 1 and you were laid off- it's because your job was eliminated.
If you were moving and selling your house, your awesome housekeeper is going to lose his/her job no matter what.
