Does anybody know if our pension plans are guaranteed if Avaya files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy or sold to another company? Also does anybody have any news about what is going to happen in the future in the company?

nothing is guaranteed in Chapter 11. thats the whole purpose of chapter 11, so that the company can focus on their new actions and new investors without worrying about existing commitments.
On retention bonus...avaya has been on financial trouble for a few years now..and for those of you who are still with Avaya, do you really need a retention bonus for the company to make you stay ?
its business as usual.
I also received a retention bonus. I am a washroom attendant at the EBC.
OUch!!! Good ones (ones worthy to work in high exec offices) are above average. But again, some who post here are not exactly truthful, any may not even work for Avaya. Take it all with a grain of salt.
What a joke. Does anyone actually believe that an ADMIN is going to get a $100K per year guarantee? They're a dime a dozen.
Looks like bankruptcy is in play. The strategy could be to retain a few key employees while the corporation is restructed.
are these emails going to US employees?
as admin in the executive offices. 100k per year to stay for 2 years
it would demonstrate avaya still has huge amount or money ....
I received a retention offer. I am an admin in the executive offices. 100k per year to stay for 2 years
Anyone received email about a retention bonus??
If yes what division are you part of?
i m scared you might be too shelfish with your concern about pension
