While working with problems going on in another station, a station alert came up in another area and it is said I acknowledged it but didn't react until 4 hours later. This happened on a Sunday afternoon and I was asked to come up on Tuesday, my second day off and answer questions. Just something I find it hard to believe but I was off work until told otherwise while it was investigated and found I was the one who had to clear it. I was called and fired over a week later, a few days before Christmas. It was said because this was 2 instances in the last 6 months, however, the other involved another employee who was logged into my system to assist on multiple problems, who did not log out and cleared an alarm I never saw and he did nothing about it. It was investigated, that employee given a week off WITHOUT pay and myself 2 days with pay. He didn't get fired for a week off without pay and dismissing an alarm but not so much the case for myself. There has been much more serious things go on in our office but with the new taking over, younger employees with far less time and smaller salaries will be the ones who survive. However, I am a Christian, God fearing man and I believe He has other plans for my life. This is just a small trial with His help our family will make it through!
