Thread regarding Altice USA (Cablevision) layoffs

Attention all long island cablevision employees currently involved with IBEW.

I think it might be in everyone's best interest on long island (Both Nassau and Suffolk listed below) to attend the next meeting. It doesnt hurt anyone by attending for any information or questions you may have. No one needs to sign anything, but at least those who are concerned can find out if this is a union that will be willing to include all parties involved. There are a multitude of operational departments other then field service and outside plant that keep the gears of this network moving and deserve representation. From how it it looks on here, it seemed like the only departments that have been involved are

-Field Service

-Outside Plant

But if you truly want the win, we need to get EVERYONE, especially the departments listed below involved. All of these other shops that have voted NO did not involved these departments.

-Inside Plant

-Construction

-Fiber Group

-Critical Systems

They are all pro company they think they are secure with that fake rebuild, Ifyou can leave them out that would be good.

I doubt it though, Company will make them vote they are used as pawns

Best bet is the veterans (Osp) the younger guys (F/s) are brainwashed.

If they have the numbers it will be hard, no disrespect they do not have the foresight. Also if they do not show up they were told not too. I think if you invite all and get a accurate count you should be able to get it best of luck.
