Confirmed with another DM that after inventory stores cut ASMs and DM's down to 5 service managers. No more full time employees. Once full timers quit they are replaced by two part timers. Chicago test run found while sales went down, they cut so much money in payroll it was beneficial.

Lowe's is a crap company. These cuts are just another part of America's new corporate culture. This is a monster company that cares ONLY about profits.
My store in Florida did 1 million one week in December, breaking records. Their response...cut PT employees hours in half! I lost 30 hours in one month, then Lowe's acts like the incentive bonus was so special...it only made up for half the hours they cut.
Forget what the corporate shill above said about hiring FT workers after laying off ASMs...not so. Lowe's is planning to increase PT staff, lay off current seasonal PT staff & hire replacements at a lower wage - this is a fact.
They said they were going to add more pt, but Never did!
Again.... NOT True.
This isn't going to be like the Chicago Test.
Y'all just going to have to wait it out to see what happens.
It results in a net INCREASE in associates in your store. And .... not necessarily part-timers!
Be patient. Stay Calm. And trust the company to do the right thing.
