Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Be aware

Be aware Home Depot use have as many department managers at Lowes but they did the same thing that Lowes is doing right now it's scary just being a department manager and you don't know if you're going to lose your job just to some stupid restructuring when you did nothing to deserve it

Why does Lowe's need a manager for every department?

HD has a Department Manager that oversees two to three departments and it works out great. They also have two to three ASM's, sent their HR Managers packing and now do everything via a centralized hub. Lowe's could save millions if they did just that, eliminate the HR, cut the number of ASM's to two, restructure department managers positions.

Also, take the Kitchen Designers and make them work neighboring departments when they are not busy (which is most of the time). They need to re look at their pay structure as well. A Front End Department Manager makes about $22/hr to do what?

Cut the salaries of the Store Managers, they do not need $90K+ to run a store! I hope they go through with these cuts, it is going to save money and knock a few attitudes down for mangers.
