NXP purchase by QC for 47bil is bad Karma. Especially after layoffs 2015. QC kept the Krapp of the crop, many premium best employees were laid off... and much other top employees voluntarily left QC after massive unfair layoffs in SD whom could see writing on the walls... still top heavy with management, overload, adding 30k NXP employees to an already dying company makes doom. Pray, do pray... not a good sign in the right direction.

Premium best employees laid off? You're delusional. Some, no doubt were decent, but overall it was the lower performers. And they implemented some lower limits on number of reports for different management levels.
Still too many higher level older (yes, I'm "age-ist") people left. Why is F. Antonio still drawing pay from the Q? Sure, he's quite active on investments.mail and I believe a remodeling mail list as well, but what the heck does the guy do with the other 15 minutes of each day? They could probably hire fifty or more young vibrant entry-level (yes, I mean H-1B) engineers with what they would save on his total compensation.
