Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Higher and stricter demands, Setting employees up for failure

If you want to keep you're job, then you better be willing to not take any break and work 50-70 hours a week without any extra compensation. Workloads are higher all around and people are getting the boot for not meeting unacheivable Expectations which leads to more layoffs and poor quality of care to members. More automated systems to frustrate members.

I am an HCMRN with HAH and received "the" email today. We have a meeting tomorrow at 2pm unless it gets moved or changed again. I am a leader in my profession, work my butt off to stay at the metric, worked 60+hours a week for several weeks and when I brought this up to my coach, I was told he was doing the same thing for "company needs". I've worked too dang hard for this company to get treated like this.

We got the email today about "growth" and "positions" for growth. The all associate call is tomorrow. Should we expect the Boot?

Humana at home, half our team laid off today. Top mgmt had some balls to put out an email about how this is best for "growth" and "positioning for success." If you are not on the lay off list, get out anyway. Where do you think all that work is going to end up? On YOUR desk.

Ditto!!! Care Management metrics and expectations are impossible to meet. It seems as if they want people to quit. I am looking for a job, because I know when this merger happens, employees who are not working 50 hours a week and pissing on themselves will be laid off! Everything is micromanaged to the tee. Anyone with good common sense will be looking for a job NOW!!!

I absolutely echo what has been said. Anxiety and stress is through the roof because of the completely and utterly ridiculous demands. Go ahead and ask management about why the quality of care and helping members is not a focus and they will tell you how the "data" says that what they are dictating is the "best practice". Perfection is expected or else and although you're paid hourly, you can expect to work a minimum of 1-2 hours additional per work day UNPAID. If you attempt to bring this up to management then they tell you that it's your fault you're not working hard enough or not making productive use of your time. Try meeting all the quotas that conflict with each other while getting yelled at by members getting 5-6 Humana calls almost every day.
