Ex-Cisco executive and financed by Sequoia Capital. Expect Cisco to buy this for N billion in a year or two. Spin-out/Spin-in happened in the past between these two.
It shows how messed up the Collaboration Group's strategy is. WebEx's $1B revenue wasn't good enough for Collaboration's Three Stooges (Trollope, Rosenberg and Meggers). They're killing WebEx and investing in Spark, which no one is buying. On the flip side, Zoom is comprised mostly of ex-WebEx people and they're demonstrating that the cloud conferencing market is still hot. Congrats to the Zoom team!
