Been with Lowes for 5 years can't even move up in my own department. They would rather hire externally than internal. Worst company I've ever worked for. And to you who says why haven't you moved on believe me been trying since I was hired. I hate Lowes.

It is truly bad working for Lowe's an adult male working full-time, and it's just as stated about favorites in the previous post. Women, especially single ones, are in a great position right now because Lowe's has been trying to equalize the work force. However there are a lot of inexperienced or less experienced ladies being preferred over long-time experienced Lowe's associates. And from what I've repeatedly observed is those ladies hired are being assigned a male worker so that they can complete their job, whereas a male was expected to work alone to do the same work.
Part of life is having to accept experiences and comments others express based on their own experience within or outside of Lowes. It is you who is arrogant and an elitist by judging people who are telling the truth about their store or their situation or merely passing on experiences from others they know. oh you are probably from corporate. and have never been in a Lowes store to see how employees are often treated. Read all the various comments of people here and you will see a common thread by the person who talked about favortism amongst upper management driving their decisions. Hello, this is reality.
I'm sure your self-entitled attitude and your penchant for badmouthing you employer hiding behind anonymity has nothing to do with your stagnant career.
Only favorites of store manager or HR are rewarded with promotions even if they are lazy and s---. No respect for anyone else. They really hate you if you ever went to college or are currently taking classes to try to improve your life.
