January 25th there will be a closed door meeting with managers at every club location to announce structure changes to management and hourly associates. Big changes are coming some good some bad as the retail giant struggles to make spending cuts to hold on to the future of the business. With the growth of innovations of online shopping the future of retail locations may become part of the past and more jobs lost.

Let's hope it's not structured the same way. At that time 2,500 managers were let go on the same day. Regardless of your position, if you had a coaching keyed in the system you were let go. Prior to that round, when a position was eliminated only the associates that were actually in that job were asked to leave. They had the option of applying for any open positions. Last time, that wasn't an option.
I also heard that fresh managers will be locked into their position for 2yrs with a 10% salary increase with a lot more expectations with high accountability and may have to reapply for their position
That's a big change. I'm hoping they don't fully eliminate a manager. That will make it much more difficult on the teams. Sounds like it's going to be similar to a few years ago when the membership assistant manager was eliminated.
Not sure what position will be eliminated I have heard a position will be eliminated and I have heard later today that all positions will be secure. Team lead roles will change slightly and will be required to do more and a new Team lead position will be opened to run Deli, HMS and cafe.
So crazy. There are barely enough managers to run the clubs as is. I guess the front end and membership manager will merge again? Wonder which one is being let go?
From what Rumors I have heard the Audit teams are being gutted, Fresh Assistant Managers Roles and Titles will change, They are going to cut a manager position in the building again as membership manager role did not perform as well as they had hoped during the role change in 2016. Associates pay levels will be changing and their responsibilities as well.
I wonder what is being restructured and what positions are going away
