Layoffs in higher cost location and hiring in lower cost location is the way Qualcomm would keep operating to maintain profits
Also.. Qualcomm would keep hiring young engineers on h1bs who can work 70 hours a week and laying off older higher titled engineers
I work in main campus and every other week I see group of new hires almost 50 or so who are young in their 20s and almost all of them are indians and Chinese who are on h1bs..
I know many won't believe me but wake up guys...
