I'm a low worker at Humana and they tried to spin the merger at us like it was a great thing. Using words like "synergy" and "work optimization" to pretend there wouldn't be layoffs

When is the private/confidential meeting? Is this the one that occurred yesterday or is their another one?
There is a meeting this week marked private and confidential. Wondering if the ax is coming.
I am quite familiar. We were told that it would continue as business as normal, today I was laid off with a 60 day notice.
hold on to your hats, Aetna will have to pay us over 1 billion dollars for the break up fee, That may money may save some jobs. It's not so good for the Aetna employees, they are going to get laid off to pay for this.
Good thing the merger did not go through. My friend at Aetna says its worse over there, they are getting laid early retired.
I work for another large healthcare organization that when thru an acquisition that resulted in a mega merger. We were flat out told that "there won't be layoffs." Two rounds of layoffs later, I feel lucky to still have my job.
