Thread regarding ConAgra Foods Inc. layoffs

Layoffs

I have been told the ConAgra has been laying off individuals one at a time to avoid any required public notice. Any truth to this?

You get rid of thousands of years of experience and turn it over the young, cheap and unknowing what did you expect?

Layoffs have to happen to save whatever they can. Sales are in the tank across entire company and the shell game is about to unravel. Conagra is no Campbell's soup or Hillshire Farms. Nobody's buying any brand of CAG at full price when waiting will buy at pennies on the dollar like Ralcorp. Chicago is a liberal dump to have corporate office at to. I can see rough waters coming because of the revolving door of incompetent top leadership at conagra.

As the spiraling death watch on Sales continues, Sean and his crapweasles continue to lay people off in small numbers to avoid layoff disclosure requirements. How far they can cut before they reach the point of no return is anyone's guess.

Employers are legally required to give employees notice if the layoff will involve a large number of employees or the closing of a plant. The federal WARN Act requires employers with at least 100 employees to give 60 days' notice before a plant closing or mass layoff.

So yes ConAgra can avoid informing people of layoffs 60 days in advance. And not tell anyone anything prior to walking you out the door. That would require Integrity, which is sadly lacking in the Senior Leadership Team.
