Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

NEWEST RUMOR !!!!

Rumor has it that a total of 2200 will be laid off. 600 was done already and more to come. Seems that Florida and Ohio are in the SITES of the ones who are pulling the trigger. Was thought in past that "nurse" or "licensed" staff are more safe but from what is being mumbled and SHHHH in the halls that is not the case. This massive layoff to be in March-April.

And how do you like the rumor that they are "monitoring this site and will reprimand any one they figure out who is on here"....really.....

As many have stated this company higher ups have no soul. Cashing their own bonus checks worth MILLIONS all while pulling the rug out from under families who NEED these minimal paying jobs. As an RN I am not making what my peers are nor am i given decent raises. What about the COST of living Raises we USED to get in the hospitals, then our merit raises yearly. Clearly HUMANA could care less about the lower level staff all while we bust our butts and work WELL past 40 hours all while being told "it is a privilege to work at home" and " you are salary so have to work what ever hours it takes to get the job done" but we can never get out few hours early to do MD appt even if we are WELL over 40 hours that week. This is wrong, being told to take a PTO for MD appts. Micromanaging every moment we are at our desk. My coach was asking where someone was at 8:03 in the AM, HELLO that person is in CENTRAL time zone and lets talk about our systems and how sluggish it is. Give me a break 3 minutes. I even got "called out" cause i was "in Aux code for break at 20 minutes" hello, do i need to explain my period and bathroom needs.

This has gotten ridiculous and i have my resume out there so i can tell Humana to F, OFF!!!!

I absolutely believe this. Surveys and IVR are a big turn off to most members, but that reality doesn't seem to penetrate leadership's thick sculls. We are losing members like crazy, and will continue to once auto dialer starts. Our members pick up because of the relationships we have built with them. Once the Rostered member go into a Que, we will lose more. Right now I am a health coach to 2 doctors, because I do my pre-call research and I charm them and I figure out their needs and try to keep them away from the rote survey BS. As soon as the auto-dialer kicks in , members like that are gone. There are not infinite members. They will not be able to keep enough people engaged to keep all of us. I could go on for hours about my issues with survey design. Cognitive survey, WTF! People are high in the cognitive domain on the MDAT because they are non med compliant. If you want to design a cognitive survey, ask about ROI'S and memory exercises and organization systems. Functional Survey, WTF! If people can't walk a quarter of a mile, first figure out if their issue is pain, or shortness of breath, or a recent joint replacement before you insult them by implying they are a vegetable and completing the whole functional survey. Preventative Screening HEDIS. WTF! We can auto-populate Hedis gaps to AMP and CGX alerts but we can't auto-populate on the Hedis survey. I am so excited that I get to ask about 500 80 year olds this year the exact date of their colonoscopy. If we have to stick to surveys, for the love of God make them smarter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Or let us do our research and not put Rostered members on auto dialer.

Very well said by both of you!!!!! They have lost the loyalty of the most trusted profession! We aren't stupid, we see right through their crap! They don't care about the members but we do! We get it's a business but they don't seem to care that it's more than a business to us! It's our poor elderly members who can't afford medications, who have to accept what some 18 year old at customer service tells them that WE know is wrong. MF is a bully and everyone knows it, we've heard the rumors of things being thrown in meetings and see how everyone around him looks like they are sitting on pins and needles in his presence. Thank God we have a voice here, we're sick of the do it or else bully mentality HAH has become!

Friends!!! Relax now. Take personal liberties! Respect yourself. Assert yourself. Speak up. Do not unhealthily strain your mind and soul for a metric that means ABSOLUTELY ZERO to them. It means nothing. They do not care about your reaching members and the interventions. THE FOXES HAVE ALREADY LEFT THE HEN HOUSE!!! The increased metrics and increased micro managing is a diversion away from greedy pigs cashing in with zero cares as to our seniors/disabled and even LESS than zero care for us. It was on our backs in which our Medicare program became so efficient, profitable and attractive to Aetna and other blood thirsty ins. companies. Bru Bru turd (humana) and BertToBaloney (Aetna) lied through their fake veneers, telling the DOJ and our internal departments that a merger would create better options for our seniors/disabled. BS!!! BS!! Thank God the Judge saw through you. Shame on you. Ya didn't get your unethical, antitrust violating, monopolizing, greedy way so in result you will whip the backs of us that still remain. You abandoned many vulnerable members despite making big profits. You will continue to whip us, (some sadly, with starry-eyed hopes to maintain steady income and to serve our people). You will ride our backs into the ground so that you can present a facade to remaining stakeholders and potential buyers so that you can squeeze every little profit out of our pain staking labor. Sadistic. Hey....it's okay to want to make gross amounts of wealth. It's okay to sell a company off. It's okay to lay people off with severance. It's disgusting to continue to lie to people, telling them everything is"great and strong" while you trash us. Its appalling that you beat us down, telling us to work harder, longer with no reciprocity. You insist the only way we can be "successful" (meaning keep our jobs), is by making more calls, more NUMBERS, MORE MORE MORE....overtime daily. Making work conditions so toxic and volatile that many are succumbing. Offloading staff and their incomes so that you can further line your pockets and throw the extra labor on our backs till you offload us. Was that lil extra profit so worth it to you? Could you not have allowed this department to function with empathy, compassion, civility as we face the unknown? Could you have not allowed us to keep some sense of stability and not suffocate us with fear tactics and continued, increased pressure??? We get it! you want your dolla bills!!! Fine. But, don't berate and tear us down further. If you are reading this and you have a conscious......,BACK OFF!!!! WE ARE SUFFERING! OUR FAMILIES ARE SUFFERING. EASE THE F UP ON US!!!!! You are destroying good people that bought into your BS!!!!
