I have it on good authority that additional Waves are happening at the end of April going forward monthly. Nothing changes

Totally agree - worst 5 years of my life let alone work. I was laid off just prior to November and it was like a huge weight lifted off me. After 30 years (25 with CSC) I hate the IT Service industry, I guess call it extreme burnout coupled with CSC employee "best practices". I was a manager and was not uncommon to be involved in questionable "borderline" unethical practices. I'm now enjoying construction/handyman work making a few bucks. Luckily I socked away savings so I don't have to worry about getting another crappy white collar job until I retire . . .
CSC oh no is right. RIFs starting.
I was laid off from CSC at the end of November. I can almost promise - if you are competent a RIF will indeed be the best thing that can happen to you. CSC has been s---ing the life out of you for 5 years and you likely have Stockholm Syndrome as I did.
I wound up getting a more money and serious stock grants at an AMAZING company after 3 months.
Forget DXC. Unless you are offshore or getting paid slave wages you ARE on the hitlist. Spend your days looking for work. Go home on time. If you don't find a new job prior to the inevitable RIF, embrace it as the opportunity that it is. You deserve better that that renamed hole.
Notifications will resume 10 April. Unlike past layoffs, you now get one week notification period, so people notified on Monday are gone on Friday. Max severance will be 8 weeks, but a lot of people won't get that much. For those of you that get tagged, take a deep breath and remember this is probably the best thing that could have happened to you.
Held hostage. Now you feel like a prisoner of war feels but with all the conveniences. Stock is rising because of these facts and WFR cost reductions and other stuff. Price rise is very very shortterm.
Well, my team and I just got an invite to a meeting for Managers for WFR notification training for HPE employees that were supposed to be notified but then put on hold (which my team and I were prenotified that we were in this group). It states that employees are to be notified on April 10th. So I am assuming that all employees that are being WFR'd got this invite. That is really professional, NOT! How can you make a mistake like this. And they are letting me and my team go, sounds like HR needs to make some changes.
If they're going to do cuts in Waves, I wish they'd say so. If they can't announce individual people, perhaps they could announce the Levels involved in each Wave and when the Wave would be.
For those of us that are working with Clients on existing projects, it would be good to have some inkling of notice to bring things to either a logical end or logical transfer.
Maybe I'm asking too much.
The sooner the better I say
I also heard 25% and Mid April
where is this policy you mention posted?
Well it would be nice to know if were staying or going and when. Most of us are professional's and if we knew in 6 months we were going to be gone, we still do our jobs because that is what we are paid to do.
But we could plan and at least know! The not knowing when (and IF) makes its hard
With DXC there is a policy for WFR, where at least there is some severance and 30 days of health insurance. I am pretty sure that's better than what CSC had in the past
Tend to agree. Stock is rising likely due to continued cost improvements, synergies, best shoring, and WFR's. It's gotta be nice to be known as the low cost low quality producer in the industry
