Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

I pity the customers who have ordered new engines that are getting built right now

We can't even get any more paper for the printers in our office because money is so tight right now.

Of course the printers would probably start spewing resumes if they had any paper left to print on...

I pity the customers who have ordered new engines that are getting built right now, as they are bound to come with extra defects. While I hope that a miracle can somehow turn our prospects around, this looks like a death spiral if I've ever seen one.

Major design flaws and manufacturing defects on a specific gas turbine have already made it to the customer. The customer is not happy and their plant is down because of the quality problems. GE is trying to scramble for a solution. This is a result of poor decisions made by disconnected leaders and a make-believe quality program. The Powerpoints are flying everywhere. Lol.

I used to work for car company I n Detroit. At the time, Ford did exactly the same thing. Layoff experienced engineers to cut cost. They spend the following 10 years to clean up the mess. F150 , exporrer rollover, tires.. just to name few.. my friend worked as a testing engineers and told me that she had no clue what she was doing. . We can all wait and see

Such MNC companies which operate and recruit people in india make huge profits out of them, which are enjoyed by their foreign counterparts and when not required they are simply laid off, ruining the employee's life and this should be strictly stopped and such useless companies should be banned from operating in india if they recruit people from India.
