You're going to be laid off for being on the bench. And frankly with all your H1b nonsense, it's deserved. So boo boo punk.

@MFKCPcI-1sod - Please educate yourself about your supposed savior. He's doing nothing to DXC, HP, or HPE. He's also doesn't seem to know much about business and money, other than how to blow it....

http://www.newsweek.com/2016/08/12/donald-trumps-business-failures-election-2016-486091.html

That isn't the mark of a successful business man. Meg only hitched her wagon to Hillary because she was jumping on the bandwagon, figuring nobody would elect Trump. Trump has had months to "deal with" Meg and her anti-employee tactics, but since it isn't front page news, and wasn't a whistlestop during the election, he's not going to dedicate any energy towards it. Meanwhile the H-1B Visas have already been filled up for the year (no drop in the number from last year).

No, the administration isn't going to save anybody from DXC, nor are they going to punish or hurt any executives. So far, all we have seen is these sort of things get rewarded with less regulation and oversight.

@MFKCPcI-1cij - I disagree, if Trump knows one thing it's business and money. He won't stand for DXC fleecing the government and cheating them out of their money. Especially with Meg Whitman on the board, she defected to the Hillary side and he'll want to rub her nose in it!

@MFKCPcI-1zdd - They do have to have the warm bodies, but their usual tactic is to keep trading down until they scrape up interns to satisfy the contract, while maintaining the original high engineering rates (based on the people they fired months ago for the crime of expecting a career from a company they were loyal to). If it isn't a government contract, they replace them with sub-standard offshore resources who may not even exist, except on paper.

It sounds like the game has become dirtier and more dangerous than ever. Cheating a customer is one thing... corporate legal can tie up those cases forever until they just go away; cheating the government, on the other hand, has real criminal consequences for the executives running that game. Unfortunately, any time they serve will be in a country club prison.

Worse... perhaps they feel the current political climate will let them fleece the government without consequences - and I can't say they aren't exactly wrong there. Sad.

@MFKCPcI-eye: there is no "bench" anymore. DXC is another pimp you out business, and you'd better be a 5 dollar escort.

Even being billable to a customer isn't safe anymore. My co-workers and I are 100% billable and we're ALL on the list (and you know DXC is getting more in revenue for us than what they pay us).

Client contract specifies U.S. resources but they're not transitioning our work to anyone. Client hasn't even been told. Very unprofessional. If this is how DXC is going to treat clients they won't be in business for long.

I am not getting the mean of "If it is an admin, or anything other than billable to a customer, that is an indicator that you will be laid off."

This is a no-brainer....if you've been on the bench since December 2016, you will be laid off. It's surprising that they have kept you this long. In addition to looking at HR lists, they look at the code you are billing to. If it is admin, or anything other than billable to a customer, that is an indicator that you will be laid off.
