US Cruise Missiles Strike Syria

Ok folks, this might be the beginning of geopolitical oil instability for the price of crude oil. Maybe, maybe not. Depending on what comes of this over the next several days or weeks, the employment picture in the oil patch is in play with this. Not going to comment on the merits, just the effect on the oil industry.

Foreign wars are necessary for the US Military Industrial Complex to continue paying off billions in monetary rewards to war hawks in our government and their wealthy friends. It's a way of keeping our military armament always new and the best in the world. Foreign wars help the American economy in many ways and is a constant reminder to our friends and foes around the world the US is number 1 in military might and will remain the most formidable forever.

Why do you baby boomers like starting foreign wars in countries that are irrelevant to the United States? This fat cheeto has lost all my respect now.

And you are now realizing this, 1osh? The two party system in the US are one in the same. They only care about conserving power, privilege and the money they can reap, not about the citizens of the republic. It's all show and drama, pointing fingers at one another, but in reality, it's a farce. They care only about themselves, their special interest donors and friends. They all come around pretending to care about you when they are up for reelection. The best the citizenry can do for themselves is to vote contrarian in election season. Never vote purely party line and never vote of any politician who wants a third term. As good as they might seem to be, give the next guy or gal a chance. We'll all be better off.

What's the point in voting anymore. It's just more of the same whoever gets elected.

Me too, cnt. Furthermore, I'm for a complete hands-off approach to the entire Middle East and other Muslim countries. Just pretend there's an iron curtail around all those places. We don't meddle and they stay outside our country. Free trade, that's all. Peace at last.

I don't see the price of oil moving up as some here are expecting. As of this afternoon, it's off its high. I expect a slow descent of prices once again, as US shale operations continue. Don't put your hopes for even a brief jump in oil price. We're not heading north of $57 for a long while yet. Place your bets in the $47 to $57 range for 18 more months, and maybe 2 years.
