Does anyone have info regarding the new SM position that focuses on inventory, merchandising? It may also be a floating position.

I have a good feeling since the stores had to assign multiple key holders that the next round of cuts will be with the SM positions, once they have key holders in place to open and close the stores, you can have a GM and one SM work a mid shift to "manage" the store. After all, that's how most indirect agents do it and that was the Altel model also. Hopefully everyone takes this time to get their resumes ready for the next wave.
That's what I was thinking too. It would become a floating manager position filling in for vacas, etc
Yes. It's only focused on operations & inventory for a couple months while the stores adjust to running without any RSS support. After that, the floating SM position will transition back into a regular SM role at a location...or eliminated.
