Full timers with no hours, forcing them to use their vacation time, just to get a paycheck. Employees being run ragged. Customers are enticed to buy clearance, and then have to stand in long lines. No MCA's to help the customer. Good way to drive away business. Sounds like perfect bankruptcy plan to me

It is sad this 2 weeks have been horrendous I was forced to use 40 hours (20 each week) hell at this point I don't care I rather cash out than let the vacation hours go to waste. Now I am hoping I get paid my vacation hours where I will know this Thursday. Its just sad how we are thanked. This is why I don't even try for this crappy company I don't do nothing, but the bare minimum since I am getting paid minimum wage? Want me to go back to me working hard Sears well pay me better....
I formerly worked for SHC at a Kmart store for 18 years. I busted my butt everyday during that time and did way beyond what one person should be required to do. The thanks I got was cutting my hours to around 30 a week and putting more work on me. Needless to say I decided to move on. There has been layoffs since I left and I have no doubt that I would have been one of those layoffs. So glad I got out before then and I would advise anyone to do the same because the end is near. There are good jobs out there!
Full timers, being used and abused and Sears would like you to go away.

We had a few ft40's in our store who were changed to ft30 without a word. No one knew until one of them noticed they were only getting 7 hours per vacation day.
Has anyone out there heard anything about full time 40 being phased out at Sears?
That associates that were grandfather in to 40 hours will be offered buy outs?
Any truth to theses rumors or are full time 40 associates safe at this time Sears?
Would love any information from other stores on this topic.
