TMAW: Happy Campers, Big Dill, Secret Ingredient. This year, EAT REAL FOODS. Is this the first year it's not about the team members?

Should I wear this shirt while I read Mackey's new book? (At Starbucks where everybody will see me.)

You guys, it's a shirt. A free piece of clothing that your corporate honchos have bequeathed upon you to garner free advertisement. So were all the other tmaw shirts. i think it's funny that everyone on here gets their panties in a wad over every little change when meanwhile other lay off threads aren't half as active for a company this size or greater. Shows how much this company truly coddled their employees. Yes, coddled. Because in case you don't know you work for a grocery store. You work retail. This isn't Google, you don't get a nap room and a ping pong table for writing difficult code all day. You get a free shirt for stocking groceries. Enjoy it, however petty it may be. We get 100s of applications for pt position. You're expendable. Nothing is new about that. Stop pretending like you're not.

I'm just laughing at a company that secretly outsources to Monsanto and our Prison system is telling others to eat "real" food.

The irony is not lost on me at all.

Really though, I've worked here a million years and this is the most disappointing shirt I have received. Now we have had some SUPER lame shirts and this is not the lamest, just the most disappointing. Because it is just a marketing piece, or propaganda, or whatever you want to call it. C'mon, do you big cheeses at the top think a real food commercial is what we'd like to get as our TMAW shirt? Stupid, just plain stupid. And I think the best ever WFM shirt was the 2014 TMAW "We Rock - Hard Core" shirt. Let's see more like that in the future.

It will be a collectors item, the last year of TM under-appreciation.

Stop making fun of the free shirt. I was appreciated so much that I got the green one and a black one. I wore the green one when I had lunch tuesday at taco bell and people made fun of me. I wore the black one yesterday at pizza hut and was looked at like a weirdo. So I wore both shirts today and received 11 hugs from fellow team members. I relish my shirts just like all of my participation trophies from my childhood. I am a rock star and one day I will make it to the top,

Haha, the irony of a bunch of employed people complaining about extra perks provided to them 1 week a year on a website devoted to the unemployed. Wha wha wha.

I have worked For WFM for 15 years. I don't care about a T-shirt but I do care what it represents. We are in the week of what we call our team member appreciation. This is the first year I have seen the shirt given out having nothing to do with the team member base (EAT REAL FOOD?). Granted past years have conceived corny messaging about the appreciation of the TM base. At least the thought was in the right place. This year paints the picture of the new world us TM's live in. I am bound by the golden handcuffs to Wholefoods but if you are not you should seek employment elsewhere. We want to believe we are appreciated but the reality is retail business is cruel. Us TM's just have been sheltered for so many years. Mind what you have learned in your stead. You will be surprised the value you have when you can expose the WFM weaknesses.

A walking billboard? That's your contribution and attempt at witty come back? It's a free shirt from the company you work for, of course it's going to have some shameless self promotion in it.
