Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Bye bye, John Moore.

Looks like the Power of Positivity didn't pay off.

@sxl No idea. Gareth is very upbeat as well.

@mga It's interesting to hear that you think everyone who posts on Pebble is a "cheerleader." I don't know about anyone else, but I am saying what I think. I know I sleep well at night as I genuinely care about my immediate team as does my boss. I can't speak for everyone's experience.

@spn...so he was let go, or did he choose to leave?

I have often wondered how all the corporate cheerleaders on Pebble can sleep at night with all the lies they're cramming down our throats. Moore must have more integrity than most of them. Good for him.

I think they are just combining the two formats with the leaders. We have done the same thing across our business.....so the Kids buyer buys for both Sears and Kmart formats etc.

John Moore is (was) Head of Retail on the Sears side. He is the main speaker on most of the propaganda videos we've been made to watch. He worked directly under Leena Munjal, I think.

I definitely agree with the posts below. I the most upbeat, cheerful email i can ever remember was from him. I figured he'd be one of the last to go. But I guess you could also note that he doesn't have as much commitment to sears since he hasn't been there long.

Yes. Confirmed. Gareth Glynne will now be the head of retail for both Kmart and Sears.

Moore leaving the company is basically confirmation that even the higher-ups beating the loudest drums for "transformation" don't believe it'll happen.

Wow. Is this confirmed? If so, I'd call that the biggest nail in the coffin so far. I've been convinced of Sears' demise for quite some time, but he was the one person in the company who made me WANT to believe in a turnaround.

"Who is John Moore?"

Why are you posting here if you don't even work for Sears?
