"If you are unhappy go work elsewhere ". I hear that one a lot. Where do you suggest a 35 year plus employee in late 50's go a find another job at same pay. No,I will not leave on my own.They will have to pay me to go.
My sister store in my city lost a co and asm's just yesterday with one of those asm's being a 30+ year employee.
From what I have been told the company is restructuring dm roles/ workload by using "teams" of dedicated mod changers and price changers that, throughout the week, circulate the store to aid dm's.
They are also gutting certain departments like grocery into a larger umbrella consumable department that also include paper, chem, dry, infants and hba. It seems as though floor associates will now be called on to work in differing areas based on the stores needs which are assigned at the start of the shift.
DM's were guaranteed their jobs with the company but we will see going forward if this remains true.
Sounds like either your SM did a poor job of explaining the what and why to you or you are one of the AMs that should have been terminated. If you're unhappy then go and work elsewhere.

Why is this always the case???
I mean, why people behave this way - we were all raised to be good to people, and once people come into corporate world they go nuts...
I think that they will try to make the job so unbearable so people will quit.
Meeting took 1/2 hour. Severally ASM leaving Walmart. Those of us remaining changed to new roles.
