You can't really compare the two, CNRL is a lean race horse and COP Canada is a donkey that thinks it has a place on the track.

Good for the employees? I'm sure the legacy Petrocan staff would disagree with you. There are layers of fat that need to be carved off and if I know Suncor, they are not interested in the 30 year old gas processing plants that make up the WCBU...

Sale will take months and will likely take place in smaller pieces (unlike the Shell Canada deal. In the end Conoco will be completely done with Canada.

There should be an announcement in the next month. We are looking at a whole exit from Canada with a local buyer for the entire BU. as you have seen with CNRL buying Shell Canada you will see another Calgary company... Suncor purchase COP Canada. I have been working on the disposition team and it will be good for the employees of the BU's other than the service teams.. HR, IT will effected the most.
