Some on these posts think that a mincing layoffs is bad for the stock. It is the opposite. The market loves a good layoff announcement. It wants to know leaders are keeping an eye on cash flow and cleaning house appropriately. It builds confidence. ACT was a little disturbing due to the sheet numbers but overall the market responded favourably. It will again if another is announced.

No amount of layoffs can compensate for the issues on 10nm at the moment.
Either miracles or ACTs are on the horizon
They had record revenues in the layoff year and lowered capital holdings.
So much worse!!
If the tech community had any idea what it took to create tech bubble 2.0, they'd stand with their mouths open, grateful to have a job.
This thing is gonna blow sky high, far worse than 2001.
Lower then salaries and keep them down.
Savings from layoffs at intel are suspect. I've watched the last few and hc and spending rarely decrease when measured y/y. As an investor that reads more than just the headline this is disconcerting. Why are you subjecting the workforce to the trauma of layoffs with all the associated expenses from a very generous severence only to hire back even more employees? And judging from the very generous executive new hire pay I am skeptical there is any savings at all from the layoffs.
