Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

Last round of HPE layoffs stopped prior to DXC April 1st start

Can anyone confirm that employees slated for the final round of HPE layoffs at the end of March received an offer letter from CSC one business day before receiving their formal layoff notification? Is this another attempt to bring them over just to offer them a 2 weeks severance package vs. the minimum 11 weeks severance package come April 3rd? Has anyone else heard they have run out of $ for severance and now they are stuck with the people they threw to the curb?

I have heard from several different resources that HPE "said" they ran out of US Severance dollars so the employees who were slated to be WFR'd in March were only moved to DXC to be laid off. Of course with a much smaller severance package, especially for the employees who have been around 20 to 30 years. After receiving verbal notifications of an end date in March, and in many cases having to train an India replacement, how can HPE get away with this. The transfer letter to DXC that came in March said the change was due to organizational changes.... Really. What changes. We were told we were moving to DXC but we didn't have a job there. .

California treats vacation time as accrued wages, so at least here, you will be paid it no matter which company you end up at.

Whoever is posting this must work outside the US. There is NO severance, NO vacation Pay for any US CSC (or soon to be DXC) worker. Be glad if you get a days notice as well.

The latest saga of severance is true, as I saw my coworkers "Employment Transfer" letter to CSC dated 3-10-17. The letter even states, "due to organizational changes your previously communicated HPE designation has changed and you are now aligned to ES Spin effective 3/10/17." Can't wait to see how execs spin this as laying these folks off 2 weeks after they align to the newco with only 2 weeks severance as rumored, will likely generate legal activity.

CSC offer is not true. There is a hold based on running out of money for the severance, however they will start up the WFR after the acquisition is completed.
