Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

The walled garden has collapsed!

Intel was already struggling with x86 sales dropping year after year and failures of billion dollar levels in phones and tablets.

Now AMD is back in client and will have competitive severs putting huge squeeze ok Intel x86 margins.

Next you got ARMy coming with even cheaper and more power efficient approach after a decade of work.

Lastly you got the bed of Moore and a race to the bottom and TSMC and Samsung catching Intel on process and the 10nm debacle.

More ACTs are all but certain as BK desperately tries to keep a job he has no qualification to have.

Prediction is big layoffs a coming and BK is gone in 2018

Intel revenue will be in significant decline. In 3 years unless it find an another source or growth area - 30 billion dollar annual revenue. Nearly half of this year so expect major cuts along the way.

I would agree that the CCG is expected to see single digit declines. Not sure you noticed but Intel is diversifying out of the client x86, more into data center, connectivity, SSDs, IoT, FPGAs, 5G, ...

All corporations in the USA will have layoffs and their CEO will either step-down, get fired, or retire, confirmed!
