Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

So they have it laid out so HPE will make a profit this coming quarter?

What do you think?

when you reduce your costs so dramatically in the preceding quarter the profits of the next 2 to 3 quarters improve... and then begin to steadily decline once again... each round of layoffs creates some temporary buoyancy like an air pocket on titanic bu soon nature, gravity, sheer weight win out. . .

just because you can see a profit doesn't mean your succeeding unless you can actually see growth in the market, systemic real growth.. not false pofecy (pun intended)

Exactly. Say TaTa to HPE and DXC

Revenues will continue to fall as this is a market that is contracting. The market has headed to the cloud and HPE missed the boat. Cue more offshoring in an ultimately doomed attempt to continue to show decent profits.

I believe the ultimate fate of DXC Technology is to be purchased by one of the Indian outfits.

Profit is not big enough for greedy executives. Trump needs to retain the 39% or make it higher tax bracket to fund those programs that scumbag corporations do to the employees. This tax will then fund a social program for employees and to keep peace in the business world.

HPE is actually a fairly profitable company - it consistently makes a profit. Last quarter it made $772m net profit. HPE's issue in the eyes of its investors are that that revenues are declining but it is still profitable.
