Lay offs are here and will continue. Leadership demands more and more from employees. I highly suggest that EVERYONE regardless of position perform meeting the bare minimum metrics. Anything you do above and beyond that only goes into the execs bank accounts and leadership's bonuses but doesn't benefit you at all. If they're going to fire you anyway then why should you help them in any way? They don't care about you so why care about them?

Lets see. Some on my team that are the"teacher's pet" are only getting 8 or 9 contacts where some are getting 14. I have gotten to where I at least make darn sure I get my breaks and I log out at my 8.5 hours, take PTO when I have an appointment and I get my 10 not more not less. Not going to let them walk over me and Yes Im looking too but until God places me where he wants me Ill keep on doing what Im doing and pray for strength every day n night to do what I can. Thats all Ive got and there is nothing they can say or do about it. To God be the glory!!
I have given my notice, I could not take it anymore. Some on my team work 10-12 hours to achieve 12 contacts, skewing the peer average. I have been trying to work8 hours and feel guilty and miserable for it. I'm so happy to be done. This environment is making me sick. If you speak up, your asked not to be "negative", not sure what the coaches and COMS make but it must be worth being liars and promoting an unhealthy work environment.
Former overachiever here. I'm done. You get 8 hours. If that means substandard work, that's your problem. If so many of your employees are "failing to meet productivity or metrics", it is not a result of the employees, it is a result of POOR management. You FAILED. We did not!
OT? I'm hourly but have always been told I'm not allowed to work overtime, everything has to be done in the 8 hours and am only allowed to flex 1 hour max a week?
Completely agree, I we can all band together maybe we can stop this madness. Not knowing what the "peer average" will be for Monday and ending your week not knowing if you did or did not meet metrics certainly does NOT make for a relaxing weekend.
These over achievers have no life.
Wish we could volunteer for layoffs. I'd raise my hand!
The overachievers hurt everyone.
I agree with you. The problem is the overachievers on every team who can't stand to not be on top, so they work massive OT willingly just to be the best. They are the ones who have (and will continue to) drive the metrics higher and higher.
I agree.
